Forces eliminate 10 terrorists in Khuzdar operation

Security forces in Pakistan have eliminated 10 terrorists and injured several others in an intelligence-based operation conducted in the Shor Pard area of Khuzdar district on Saturday. The operation targeted multiple hideouts used by terrorists operating in three distinct groups, leading to a significant exchange of gunfire with security personnel.

According to security sources, the successful operation resulted in the deaths of 10 militants, with several more sustaining injuries. Following the engagement, security forces initiated a comprehensive search and clearance operation in the surrounding region to apprehend any terrorists who managed to escape. The forces have reiterated their commitment to continuing targeted operations to dismantle terrorist networks and eliminate the threat of terrorism from the area.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the security forces for their successful operation in the mountainous region. He described the militants as "enemies of humanity" and highlighted the expertise of the security forces in combating terrorism. The Prime Minister stated that the entire nation stands with the security forces in their war against terrorism and expressed a firm resolve to eradicate the menace completely from the country.

This operation follows a series of counter-terrorism actions in Balochistan. Just a day prior, the Balochistan Home Minister survived an armed attack on his convoy, which injured nine people, including seven police personnel. Earlier in the week, eight terrorists were killed in Surab district when explosives detonated during the preparation of a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device. Subsequent operations in that area led to the elimination of an additional 10 terrorists, bringing the total number of terrorists affiliated with "Fitna Al Hindustan" eliminated in recent operations to 18. Two soldiers were injured during the exchanges of fire.
