Forecasters Predict Changeable Weekend Weather

Lithuania can expect a changeable weekend with warm conditions initially, followed by a shift towards more unsettled weather. Saturday promises a dry day across the country, with moderate southwest winds and temperatures climbing to a pleasant 25-30 degrees Celsius. Some high clouds may drift across the northern parts of the country, but no rain is expected.

However, changes are on the horizon for Sunday as an atmospheric front approaches from the west. Cloud cover will increase, particularly in western regions, while the east may remain clear longer. Short-lived rain is forecast for many western areas in the morning, with the wind remaining moderate. The night will be warm, with temperatures not dropping below 14-19 degrees Celsius.

As the front moves across the country on Sunday, expect more clouds but also some sunny spells. Short-lived rain is likely in most regions, potentially accompanied by thunderstorms, especially in eastern areas. Winds will strengthen from the southwest and west, with gusts reaching 15-16 m/s in coastal areas. Daytime temperatures will become cooler, ranging from 19-24 degrees Celsius, though eastern regions might still reach 25-28 degrees Celsius in the early afternoon.

Looking ahead to Monday, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in many areas. Nighttime temperatures will drop to 10-15 degrees Celsius (16-18 degrees Celsius by the sea), and daytime temperatures will be cooler, around 18-23 degrees Celsius.
