Foreign Minister receives message from Abbas Araghchi

Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, received a verbal message from his Iranian counterpart, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, on Sunday, May 24, 2026. The message was conveyed during a visit by a high-level Iranian delegation led by Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs.

A key focus was the ongoing indirect talks between Iran and the United States, which are being mediated by Pakistan. Both sides emphasized their commitment to these negotiations and the efforts being made to achieve a successful outcome.

Both sides exchanged views on recent developments and the necessity of enhancing capabilities to guarantee the safety of shipping, trade, and supply chains in the region.
