Foreign National Arrested for Murder After Deadly Brawl in South Korea

A violent street fight among foreign nationals in Eumseong, North Chungcheong Province, resulted in one death and one serious injury. Police have arrested a Malaysian man in his 40s, identified only as Mr. K, on suspicion of murder.

The incident occurred around 3 a.m. when Mr. K allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with a group of about 10 foreigners, including a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. N. During the brawl, Mr. K reportedly used a knife to stab Mr. N, who later died from his injuries despite being transported to a hospital. Another individual involved in the fight also suffered severe injuries and is currently hospitalized.

Following the incident, Mr. K fled the scene but was apprehended by police approximately one hour later at a nearby residence. Authorities are currently investigating the precise details of the altercation and plan to seek an arrest warrant for Mr. K.
