The Islamabad High Court has rejected the enforcement of a money decree issued by a Dubai court, underscoring the necessity of balancing international legal principles with domestic protections. In a significant ruling, Justice Minhas stated that foreign criminal findings do not automatically compel local civil courts to enforce decrees.

The case involved a petition by two Pakistani businessmen challenging the execution of a money decree obtained by a technology company from a Dubai court. The decree had been upheld by multiple Dubai courts before being brought before the Islamabad High Court.
