Former Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior appointed Paris FC manager

Paris FC has announced the appointment of Liam Rosenior as their new manager, securing the services of the English coach on a contract running until June 2028. The Ligue 1 club confirmed the move yesterday, with Rosenior set to begin his duties tomorrow.

The 41-year-old Englishman succeeds Antoine Kombouare, who led the team to an 11th-place finish in the previous season. Rosenior brings a wealth of experience, having previously managed RC Strasbourg from 2024 to 2026 before taking the helm at Chelsea earlier this year following Enzo Maresca's exit.

His tenure at Stamford Bridge was notably short, concluding in less than four months despite a contract extending until 2032. However, Paris FC's Sporting Director, Marco Neppe, expressed confidence in Rosenior's capabilities. Neppe highlighted Rosenior's blend of modern coaching, tactical acumen, and strong management qualities as crucial factors in the decision.

"Liam Rosenior brings together all the qualities we were looking for," Neppe stated in a release. "He is a modern, demanding coach and recognized for his ability to help both the players and the team progress. Beyond his tactical skills, we were particularly attracted by his management qualities and his ability to unite a group around a clear vision."
