The Ghanaian Times is a state-owned daily newspaper published by the New Times Corporation (NTC), a wholly state-owned enterprise. It was established in 1957 by Ghana's first president, Kwame Nkrumah, and later nationalized and restructured into NTC in 1971. The NTC is overseen by the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA), and its Board of Directors and Managing Director are appointed by the National Media Commission (NMC) in consultation with the President.
