Former clinic receptionist released after arbitrary detention claims and protests in Hermosillo

Daniel Humberto Flores Escalante, who worked as a receptionist at a clinic run by Dr. Maximiano Verduzco, was released Friday afternoon in Hermosillo, Sonora, after his detention for alleged drug possession. Joaquín Flores, Daniel Humberto's father, vehemently denied the drug dealing accusations. He asserted that prohibited substances were "planted" on his son by agents during what he described as an unjust and arbitrary detention.
