Former Deputy Police Chief Oegroseno requests delay in land case clarification

Former Deputy National Police Chief Komjen (Purn) Oegroseno has requested a rescheduling of his clarification session with the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kortas Tipidkor) concerning a land procurement case. Oegroseno was initially slated to provide his statement on Thursday, July 23, but cited unavoidable prior commitments.

"Yes (I won't attend), I still have activities that cannot be left behind," Oegroseno told reporters on Thursday. He proposed that the clarification process be moved to the following week, on July 30. Oegroseno also emphasized his commitment to thoroughly prepare by collecting necessary data from 2011 before meeting with investigators, stating, "I'm still looking for that data from 2011. Because if I come there without data, it won't be funny."

The Kortas Tipidkor had previously issued an invitation for Oegroseno to clarify his involvement in the land acquisition for the Police School (Sepolwan). Head of Kortas Tipidkor, Inspector General Totok Suharyanto, clarified that it was an invitation for clarification, not a summons, aimed at gathering information as part of the investigation into alleged corruption in the land deal. Suharyanto assured that the investigation adheres to legal procedures and aims to determine if a criminal act of corruption occurred.
