Former Partizan Fan Group Leader Arrested in Serbia with Loaded Gun and Drugs

Nenad Alajbegović, known as Alibeg and formerly the leader of the Partizan "Zabranjeni" fan group, has been arrested in Novi Sad, Serbia. The Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that Alajbegović, born in 1981, was apprehended during a coordinated operation by the anti-drug unit. He was wanted on multiple warrants issued by various courts and police administrations across Serbia.

During his arrest, Alajbegović was found to be in possession of a pistol with a round in the chamber. A subsequent search revealed a bulletproof vest, 17 rounds of 7.65mm pistol ammunition, one 7.62mm rifle bullet, a digital scale with traces of a white powder suspected to be amphetamine, and a forged driver's license. The Ministry stated that Alajbegović will face criminal charges for illegal manufacturing, possession, carrying, and trafficking of weapons and explosives, as well as document forgery.

According to reports from Blic, the arrest occurred swiftly while Alajbegović was reportedly buying cigarettes at a kiosk. Surveillance footage captured the moment inspectors from the criminal police approached him from behind and subdued him on the ground. Sources close to the investigation described Alajbegović as extremely dangerous and prepared for resistance, but police managed to neutralize him before he could reach for his weapon.

Alajbegović has a significant criminal history, with numerous charges filed against him for offenses involving weapons, drugs, and violent crimes. He has reportedly been the target of several assassination attempts in the past, including shootings in New Belgrade. He will be brought before the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad along with the criminal charges.
