Former Tlayolapa commissioner, 'Los Ardillos' member, arrested for kidnapping officials

Mario 'N', a former municipal commissioner of Tlayolapa and alleged member of the criminal organization 'Los Ardillos,' has been arrested by Mexican authorities. The apprehension was based on a warrant for his probable responsibility in the kidnapping of officials from the Guerrero State Prosecutor's Office.

Investigations indicate that Mario 'N' was a close associate of Benito 'N', also known as 'El Oso,' who leads the 'Los Ardillos' operations in the Costa Chica and Montaña baja regions of Guerrero. This group is known for its significant influence in the area.

Furthermore, Mario 'N' is believed to have been involved in organizing protests and blockades. Specifically, he allegedly helped coordinate actions on the 'autopista del Sol' highway near Tierra Colorada. These blockades were reportedly led by Daniel 'N', who was previously arrested on March 17, 2026, by state prosecutors.
