Former Turkish National Football Player Haluk Erdem Dies at 83

Haluk Erdem, a respected figure in Turkish football known for his contributions as both a player and a coach, has passed away at the age of 83. The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) released a statement expressing profound sadness over the loss of one of Turkish football's "valued names" and a former player for the national team.

During his playing career, Erdem represented several prominent clubs, including Bursaspor, Elazığspor, İstanbulspor, and Sakaryaspor. He earned one cap for the Turkish national team. His playing career highlights include winning a Prime Ministry Cup and a 3. Lig championship.

Following his retirement from playing, Erdem transitioned to coaching. He played a significant role in guiding Elazığspor to promotion in the 2. Lig. His coaching career further cemented his legacy within Turkish football.

Haluk Erdem will be laid to rest following a funeral prayer at Bursa Ulu Mosque after the midday prayer. He will be interred at Hasköy Cemetery in Bursa.
