Fort Saskatchewan RCMP seek public assistance in child luring investigation

Mounties in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, are appealing to the public for help identifying a man suspected in two attempted child luring incidents. The RCMP stated that both events occurred near Ken Hodgins Park.

The first incident happened on August 5 around 1:30 p.m. A six-year-old girl was playing in a park along Southpoint Boulevard when a man in a red truck approached her and tried to lure her into his vehicle. Fortunately, the girl went home unharmed.

A similar event took place a few days earlier, on July 30. A nine-year-old boy was walking on a trail near Davis Street when a man in a red truck attempted to lure him into the vehicle. The boy also managed to get to safety without injury.

Investigators are particularly interested in any surveillance video, including doorbell or dashcam footage, from the area between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on August 5. The area of interest includes Allard Way, Dittrich Avenue, Davis Street, Durrand Bend, and Southpoint Boulevard.
