Four Family Members Found Dead in Locked Home in Bangladesh

A retired Hindu schoolteacher, his wife, daughter, and 12-year-old son were discovered dead inside their locked residence in Rangpur city, Bangladesh, prompting a thorough police investigation into the suspicious circumstances. The bodies were found late Saturday night in the Daspara (Machhuapara) area.

Authorities identified the deceased as Ganapati Chakraborty, 65, a retired teacher from Rangpur Zilla School; his wife, Pritilata Chakraborty, 50; their daughter, Agami Chakraborty Prarthi, 23; and their son, Priyam Chakraborty, 12. Relatives reported growing concern after losing contact with the family, noting that their mobile phones had been switched off since Thursday night.

Family members expressed shock and confusion, stating they could not comprehend who would target the family or the motive behind the crime. Ganapati Chakraborty was described as a kind man with no known enemies. The family had recently moved into a new house in Daspara.

Police, along with the Criminal Investigation Department and Detective Branch, are investigating the incident. Forensic teams are examining the scene. The bodies were found in different locations within the house: the mother and daughter on the staircase, the father on the roof, and the son under a bed. The exact timeline and motive remain under investigation.
