Four injured, driver flees scene in Sibiu County road accident

A serious road accident on Sunday evening on DJ 106S, between Vurpăr and Roșia in Sibiu County, Romania, resulted in injuries to four individuals who were subsequently transported to the hospital. Adding to the gravity of the situation, one of the drivers involved fled the scene and is now the subject of a police search.

According to initial reports from the Sibiu County Police Inspectorate, a man driving a car lost control of his vehicle and collided head-on with another car traveling in the opposite direction. The impact left three teenage girls, aged 13, 15, and 16, and a 21-year-old young man, all residents of Vurpăr, injured.

Emergency services, including two ambulance crews, one with a doctor, and a SMURD team, responded to the scene. The victims sustained various traumas, including injuries to the chest, spine, knee, and shoulder. A 15-year-old girl was taken to the Sibiu Pediatric Hospital for specialized care.

While police are actively searching for the driver who fled, they are also working to establish the exact circumstances of the collision. Traffic in the area was not significantly affected by the incident.
