Four investigated in Germany for arranging swastika from wooden planks in park

Authorities in Chemnitz, Germany, are investigating four people suspected of arranging wooden planks to form a swastika in a public park. The incident came to light after a local resident alerted the police on a Wednesday afternoon.

Officers responded to the scene and encountered three men, aged between 43 and 50, and a 39-year-old woman. During their investigation, police discovered that one of the men, a 47-year-old, had an active arrest warrant for an outstanding fine of approximately 1,000 euros. Unable to pay the sum, he was taken into custody and transported to a correctional facility.

The swastika symbol, measuring about 1.5 by 1.5 meters, was subsequently removed by the authorities. The remaining three suspects were issued orders to leave the park premises.

All four individuals are now facing charges for using symbols of unconstitutional organizations, a violation of German law. The investigation aims to determine the full extent of their involvement and intent behind the creation of the prohibited symbol.
