Four laborers killed, three injured in Balochistan blast; police investigate

At least four laborers died and three others were injured in a blast in Pakistan's Mastung district late Thursday. The explosion occurred in the Garo area, the same region where the provincial home minister recently survived an armed attack.

Four labourers lost their lives and three other people received injuries in the blast which took place last night.

Authorities are investigating the blast's nature. One senior official suggested it might have been a drone attack, while another reported that two alleged terrorists were also killed in the vicinity. Police have confirmed the deaths of the four laborers and the injury of three others. The bodies of two additional individuals, who were reportedly shot dead, were also found in the area.

All six bodies were transported to Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Memorial Hospital in Mastung. One severely injured person was taken to Civil Hospital Quetta. Hospital officials confirmed receiving six bodies and three injured individuals, noting that two bodies showed signs of bullet wounds, while the other four sustained multiple injuries.

Four of the deceased laborers were identified as residents of the Bhag area in Kachhi district. The identities of the other two bodies remain unknown. The incident follows a recent gun attack and an explosion in the same sub-tehsil that killed three and injured five, and damaged a National Highway bridge, respectively.
