Four labourers killed by unknown assailants in Balochistan's Pishin district

Four laborers were killed by unidentified armed men in the Saranan area of Balochistan's Pishin district on Tuesday. Officials reported that the attack took place in the Sulemanzai area along the Quetta-Chaman Highway while the victims were working on an under-construction road. Shahid Rind, Balochistan Chief Minister’s aide for political and media affairs, confirmed the incident.

The labourers were working on an under-construction road in the area when armed men targeted them.

One laborer sustained injuries and was transported to the district hospital along with the bodies of the deceased. Police and security forces immediately responded to the scene to begin an investigation. A senior police officer, speaking anonymously, stated that the assailants arrived on motorcycles and opened fire, killing the four laborers instantly with multiple bullet wounds. Sources indicated that the victims were from Punjab and had traveled to the region seeking work.

This attack marks the second such incident in the area within three days. On Friday, armed men had previously blown up a police station in Saranan town after taking control of the facility. According to official sources, the attackers planted explosives inside the police station before detonating them, causing significant damage but no casualties.
