Four police officers wounded in terrorist attack in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Four police officers sustained injuries on Saturday during a terrorist attack in the Hathala area of Dera Ismail Khan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The police party, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Kefayat, was targeted by terrorists near Pota and Al-Amin Farm House. District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmed confirmed that four policemen were wounded, one of whom suffered a bullet wound. "The condition of all the injured is out of danger," Ahmed added. Security forces quickly responded, with a large contingent from Ijaz Shaheed Police Lines arriving at the scene. Officials cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation for the perpetrators.

This incident occurs amidst a backdrop of rising violence in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Earlier this month, a suicide bombing near the Kabal Police Station in Swat resulted in at least 14 deaths and 18 injuries.
