Four Taiwanese women advance in WTT Feeder Olomouc singles

Taiwanese women's table tennis players have started strongly at the WTT Feeder Olomouc, with four singles players advancing to the round of 16. Huang Yu-hsun and Tsai Yun-en also secured a spot in the women's doubles quarterfinals.

Li Yu-chun, the second seed, secured a swift victory in her singles match, defeating her opponent from the Dominican Republic in straight sets. Huang Yu-hsun, seeded third, also advanced comfortably against a Chilean veteran. Tsai Yun-en, the "Wind City Little Chili," and Cheng Hsien-chih, the only qualifier, also secured their spots in the next round.

The absence of top-40 ranked players in this feeder event presents a significant opportunity for the Taiwanese contingent to gain crucial ranking points. World No. 45 Amy Wang of the United States is the top seed, with Li Yu-chun and Huang Yu-hsun ranked second and third, respectively.

In women's doubles, the pair of Huang Yu-hsun and Tsai Yun-en, who reached the semifinals in a previous event, won their opening match against a Brazilian duo. They are set to face a Puerto Rican pair in the quarterfinals.
