France resumes visa processing for Venezuelan citizens in Caracas

The French Embassy in Venezuela has resumed visa application and processing services for Venezuelan citizens planning to travel to France. Applications must now begin digitally through the embassy’s official portal.

Applicants must complete the form, gather the required documents and then arrange an appointment to submit their files. While the service returns to normal, document reception and biometric data collection will take place temporarily at Colegio Francia in La Carlota, Caracas.

The embassy advises travelers to first determine whether their purpose and travel conditions require a visa. Applicants who need one must complete the online application and provide documents supporting the reason for their trip.

The appointment should take into account the intended travel date and the deadlines for each procedure. Applicants must submit the complete file, including the CERFA form and the relevant receipt. Required documents include a passport, original documents with copies, and two photographs meeting International Civil Aviation Organization standards.

The restored service covers tourism, study and training, professional or employment activities, and family reunification. Requirements vary by category. After submitting their documents, travelers can track the application until their passport is returned.
