Norway Prepares King Harald V’s Farewell as Haakon VIII Begins an Uncertain Reign

Norway is preparing to bid farewell to King Harald V as Haakon VIII begins what the report describes as an uncertain reign.

The funeral will be led by Olav Fykse Tveit, the presiding bishop of the Church of Norway, together with Sunniva Gylver, the bishop of Oslo.

After the service, a procession will travel to Akershus Fortress. Harald will be laid to rest in the royal mausoleum beside his father and grandfather.
