France sends 44 tons of humanitarian aid to earthquake-hit Venezuela

France has sent 44 tons of humanitarian aid to Venezuela to assist with the aftermath of the catastrophic earthquakes that struck on June 24, claiming over 3,500 lives according to official figures. The aid was dispatched at the request of Venezuelan authorities.

The emergency supplies, totaling 38 tons, were gathered by the Crisis and Support Center of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. This shipment, which arrived in Venezuela on Tuesday, includes essential items such as shelters and solar-powered lamps, as well as hygiene kits. These humanitarian supplies will be distributed by the Venezuelan Red Cross with support from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its deep solidarity with the Venezuelan people, expressing condolences to the victims and their families.
