FRCS warns against funding without results

The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service is warning that funding alone will not be enough under the proposed Fiji-Australia Vuvale Union. More than $1.5 billion in Australian financial commitments, it says, must translate into measurable improvements.

FRCS Chief Executive Officer Udit Singh told the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence that Fiji needs results in two key areas: border security and revenue systems. He said funding and equipment must produce practical gains in both.
