Free beer, sea breeze: Zhunan Tourism and Cultural Festival kicks off Aug 22 for two days of revelry

Zhunan Township in Miaoli County is set to host its annual summer event, the "Tourism and Cultural Festival - Wind of Zhunan, Taste of Beer 2.0," on August 22 and 23. This year's festival aims to blend marine culture, local delicacies, musical performances, and a beer-tasting experience, connecting two key local attractions: Longfeng Fishing Port and the Zhunan Brewery.

The festival kicks off on August 22 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Longfeng Fishing Port. The opening ceremony, symbolizing a bountiful harvest, will feature a "Sea Breeze Voyage - Fishing Net Launch Ceremony." Attendees can enjoy live music from performers like Cai Jialin and the Hot Star band, set against the backdrop of a harbor sunset, with complimentary beer tasting available.

On August 23, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the festivities move to the Zhunan Brewery. The lineup includes performances by artists such as Wang Zhongping and Lin Xiuqi, along with a balloon show by Lele Brother and creative beer demonstrations. In addition to free beer tasting, Taiwan Beer will offer special promotions, including a chance to redeem limited gifts with purchases over NT$800. A "Clean Government Quiz" will also be held to promote anti-fraud and integrity awareness.

The Zhunan Township Office stated that the event's three main themes – "Sea, Flavor, and Beer" – perfectly integrate coastal tourism with local industries. They invite people from across Taiwan to join the celebration in Zhunan and create memorable summer experiences.
