From De Martino to Scotti, Conti to Fazio, television’s new season gets moving from Big Brother to Ballando

September brings the return of Italy’s general-interest television, with familiar faces, new challenges and several changes of guard. On Sunday, September 6, “Affari Tuoi” returns to Rai1’s access prime time after a short summer break, again hosted by Stefano De Martino. This season, the show moves to Milan and a completely renovated studio.

It will face Gerry Scotti’s “La Ruota della Fortuna” on Canale 5, a program that continued broadcasting through the summer and challenged Marco Liorni’s “L’Eredità Summer.” Rai’s evening schedule also brings back established titles. Carlo Conti’s “Tale e Quale Show” moves to Wednesday nights, alongside “Chi l’Ha Visto?” on Rai3, now hosted by Raffaella Griggi, Bianca Berlinguer’s “È sempre Cartabianca” on Rete4 and Fabio Fazio’s “Il Tavolo di Che Tempo Che Fa” on Nove.

“Ballando con le stelle” returns to Rai1 on October 3 with Milly Carlucci. The dance show will have a new jury after Selvaggia Lucarelli and Fabio Canino left. Lucarelli will return as a commentator on “Grande Fratello,” hosted by Ilary Blasi, with Cesara Buonamici also returning.

Daytime programming is restarting as well. Salvo Sottile will host “Ore 14” from September 7 and “Ore 14 Sera” from September 24. Rai1 will bring back “È sempre mezzogiorno,” “Vita in Diretta,” “Storie Italiane” and “La Volta Buona.” Antonella Clerici will also host “The Voice Senior” from October 9, while Mara Venier returns to “Domenica In” on September 27, facing “Verissimo” with Silvia Toffanin from September 19.

Mediaset’s main channel will launch the season with “Grande Fratello Vip” on September 17, again hosted by Ilary Blasi. “Amici” is scheduled for September 20, followed by the returns of “Uomini e Donne,” “Tu sì que vales” and two “Temptation Island” specials. Canale 5 will also bring back “Dentro la Notizia” with Gianluigi Nuzzi and “Caduta Libera” with Max Giusti, while “Mattino Cinque” returns on September 14.
