Fuel Prices Stable in Indonesia Amid Global Oil Market Dynamics

Fuel prices at major stations in Indonesia, including Pertamina, Shell, and bp, have held steady through the final week of July 2026. This stability persists even as global oil markets experienced some volatility during the same period.

According to Pertamina's official website, fuel prices have remained unchanged since July 1, 2026. In the Jakarta region, Pertalite is priced at Rp 10,000 per liter, subsidized diesel at Rp 6,800 per liter, and Pertamax at Rp 16,250 per liter. Higher-octane options like Pertamax Turbo are listed at Rp 19,300 per liter, Pertamax Green at Rp 17,000 per liter, Dexlite at Rp 19,700 per liter, and Pertamina Dex at Rp 21,150 per liter.

Shell stations, which had faced stock shortages earlier in 2026, have resumed sales of V-Power Diesel. The price for this diesel variant at Shell stations has been set at Rp 21,340 per liter since July 1, 2026. Similarly, bp stations have maintained stable prices since their early July adjustments. BP Ultimate costs Rp 17,240 per liter, BP 92 is Rp 16,670 per liter, and BP Ultimate Diesel is priced at Rp 21,340 per liter.

These domestic price consistencies occurred against a backdrop of global oil market movements. Brent crude oil futures briefly jumped more than 3% on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, with Brent crude for September delivery reaching $94.09 per barrel. However, by Monday, July 27, 2026, Brent crude prices had retreated to approximately $85 per barrel.
