The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon have clinched their first-ever Women's Africa Cup of Nations title, triumphing over Malawi with a decisive 3-0 victory in Rabat. Ngah Manga was the star of the match, scoring a brace, while midfielder Naomi Eto contributed the third goal.

This historic win marks a significant achievement for Cameroon, who have reached the WAFCON final four times previously, only to fall short in 1991, 2004, 2014, and 2016. Their victory makes them the fourth nation to lift the continental trophy, following in the footsteps of Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, and South Africa.

Malawi, known as the Scorchers, had relied heavily on the formidable sister duo Tabitha and Temwa Chawinga throughout their impressive tournament run. However, the Cameroonian defense managed to keep them largely quiet in the final. Despite not securing the championship, Malawi's debut appearance in the final has earned them a coveted spot in the 2027 Women's FIFA World Cup, alongside Cameroon, Algeria, and Morocco.

The tournament also saw individual accolades awarded. Temwa Chawinga of Malawi received the Golden Boot for her five goals. Cameroon's Monique Ngock was named Woman of the Competition, and Michaely Bihina took home the Best Goalkeeper award. Algeria was recognized with the Fair Play Award.
