FULL LIST: MFM choir, other winners, categories at World Choir Games 2026

The 14th World Choir Games, held in Helsingborg, Sweden, has announced the winners of its Champions Competition, crowning the first set of "Champions of the World Choir Games" across nine distinct categories. The competition, described by host organization Interkultur as the highest level of the event, brings together choirs with proven national and international achievements.

A panel of seven international music experts evaluated the performances, awarding Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals based on the World Choir Games Evaluation System. The highest-scoring Gold Medal choir in each category earned the prestigious title of "Champion of the World Choir Games."

Congratulations to the new Champions of the World Choir Games 2026, to all medal winners and to every choir that has shared its musical excellence on the competition stages during Part I!

Among the newly crowned champions are the Hangzhou Children’s Art Troupe Choir from China (Category C2 – Children’s Choirs), Jeugdkoor Waelrant from Belgium (Category C4 – Mixed Youth Choirs and C11 – Sacred Choral Music with Accompaniment), and consonus vokalensemble from Switzerland (Category C5 – Mixed Chamber Choirs & Vocal Ensembles).

Other winners include SORA from Denmark (Category C8 – Adult Choirs of Equal Voices), The Song Children’s Choir from China (Category C12 – Music of Spirit and Faith), Mountain Top Chorale from Nigeria (Category C14 – Spiritual), Voices of Youth from China (Category C16 – Pop Ensembles), and Vokalista Angels from Indonesia (Category C19 – Folklore and Indigenous Music with Accompaniment). The results of the Open Competition and Champions Competition for Part I have been published, with the Games continuing with a PEACE Concert and the Parade of Nations.
