Jan Oblak leads the 2026 goalkeeper wage rankings, earning a reported £342,127 a week at Atletico Madrid.

The Slovenian goalkeeper moved to the top without receiving a pay rise. He inherited first place after the previous highest-paid goalkeeper accepted a salary cut. Oblak, 33, remains under contract at Atletico for two more years and is described as one of the finest goalkeepers of his generation.

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen ranks second on £271,665 a week. He is spending the season on loan at Ajax, which reportedly pays about 10 percent of his wages, while Barcelona covers the remainder. Ter Stegen’s Barcelona contract runs until 2028.

Gianluigi Donnarumma ranks third on £265,000 a week and is the Premier League’s highest-paid goalkeeper. Manchester City signed the Italy international from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, and he made 43 appearances in his first season in Manchester.

Bayern Munich veteran Manuel Neuer ranks fourth on £247,849 a week after agreeing to reduce his salary on his latest contract. Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois follows on £246,371 a week. The ranking was published by Planet Football using figures from Capology and includes leading goalkeepers from the Premier League, La Liga, the Bundesliga and the Saudi Pro League.
