Fundraiser to help pay for funeral costs of Brazilian woman murdered in Limerick

A fundraising campaign has been initiated online to support the family of Jady Cristine Pereira Rosa, a 33-year-old Brazilian woman who was found murdered in Limerick, Ireland. The campaign seeks to raise funds for the repatriation of her body to her hometown in Sorocaba, Sao Paulo, and to cover her funeral costs.

Rosa was discovered deceased at an apartment on Cecil Street last Friday morning. A postmortem conducted by the State Pathologist confirmed that she died as a result of a violent act, with investigators believing she was stabbed. Gardaí have stated they are withholding specific postmortem results for operational reasons.

Investigators are reportedly seeking to question a man known to Rosa as part of their ongoing murder inquiry. Rosa had been residing and working in Limerick for several years prior to her death.

Jady’s employer will cover the cost of transporting her body from Ireland to Brazil. However, there are still important expenses that must be covered so she can be transported from the airport in Sao Paulo to her hometown, as well as the costs of her wake and burial.

While Jady's employer has committed to covering the cost of transporting her body from Ireland to Brazil, significant expenses remain for her transit from Sao Paulo airport to her hometown, as well as for her wake and burial.
