Funeral and burial dates announced for late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka

The funeral and burial arrangements for the late Apostle Professor Emeritus Engineer Kwadwo Safo Kantanka have been officially announced. His daughter, former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, shared the details during a press conference.

The burial service is set to take place on July 30, 2026, at Gomoa Mpota in the Central Region. This will be followed by the main funeral service on July 31, 2026, at the Independence Square in Accra. Adwoa Safo extended an invitation to church members, family, friends, and all who benefited from her father's charitable works to attend and pay their final respects.

Apostle Safo was particularly known for his deep concern and support for persons living with disabilities. His daughter highlighted his "special love and concern for persons living with disabilities," anticipating their strong desire to honor his memory at the funeral.

In recognition of his origins, a thanksgiving service will be held in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, on August 8, 2026. Apostle Safo was a proud son of this region. The funeral committee is still finalizing the exact venue for this service and will communicate further details shortly. Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka was widely respected for his contributions to engineering, technology, and religious leadership in Ghana.
