FUPRE opens supplementary post-UTME screening for 2026/2027 admission

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) is offering prospective students a second chance to secure admission for the 2026/2027 academic session through a supplementary Post-UTME screening exercise. This initiative aims to accommodate candidates who were unable to participate in the initial screening or who wish to transfer their admission interest to FUPRE.

According to the university registrar, Dr. E. Jane Omoyine, the supplementary registration period will run until Sunday, August 23, 2026. The screening itself is scheduled for August 24 and 25, 2026. Candidates are required to register via the university's admission portal, utme.fupre.edu.ng, and pay a screening fee of ₦2,000.

To qualify, applicants must have achieved a minimum score of 160 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Additionally, they must have designated FUPRE as their first-choice institution or successfully completed a Change of Institution process to FUPRE. A prerequisite of at least five O'Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings, is also mandatory. Candidates must also be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026.

It is important to note that candidates who already participated in the initial Post-UTME screening held from July 21 to 25 are not eligible for this supplementary exercise. The university advises all eligible candidates to complete their registration promptly and to regularly check the admission portal for any official updates.
