Gamers Know How to Party Too: ZEvent Opens Its Final Edition with a Spectacular Montpellier Concert

Who would have expected the opening concert of ZEvent’s final edition to become one of the most memorable parties of 2026? More than 11,000 people left Montpellier’s Sud de France Arena on Thursday night with broad smiles, leaving taxi drivers wondering what had happened inside just moments earlier.

The answer was a packed concert featuring Bigflo & Oli, Gazo and Yamê. Bigflo & Oli proved hard to beat, Gazo delivered a performance in fine form, and Yamê emerged as the evening’s particularly welcome surprise. Together, they gave the charity marathon an exuberant opening before its official launch.

At exactly midnight, Adrien Nougaret, better known as Zerator, told the audience that a record had already been broken. The fundraiser had passed €500,000 even though the marathon itself was not due to begin officially until Friday, September 4, at 6 p.m.

That early total set a new mark in ZEvent’s history. Since the event began in 2016, it has raised more than €58 million for charities. Last year’s fundraiser climbed to €16 million. For its final edition, Zerator and his fellow streamers are seeking to give the event a fitting send-off, beginning with a concert that left the arena’s 11,000 fans celebrating.
