The evolution of these products is exemplified by AP King, a gaming accessory brand that has released multiple generations of thumb sleeves since its inception in 2024. The brand's owner, Andra ST, emphasized that product development is guided by the diverse habits and preferences of gamers.

"Every gamer has different habits and preferences. Some are more comfortable with thin materials, while others prefer thicker ones. So from that, we try to see what can be developed from previous products," Andra explained. The initial generation, V1, offered various colors and served as a platform for gathering user feedback. This input directly influenced subsequent versions.

Subsequent generations, like V2, expanded product options by varying material types, thickness, stitching, and slipperiness. These adjustments cater to players who prefer lighter, thinner materials versus those who like a more substantial feel. The V3 generation introduced an anti-slip feature on the inside of the sleeves to maintain position during fast-paced gameplay, alongside changes to packaging, including a shift to paper-based materials.

Andra noted that even minor details can significantly impact the gaming experience, especially when dealing with sweat or discomfort during rapid, repetitive movements. This understanding of varied user needs drives the continuous refinement of their products, with the V4 generation representing further collaborative development.
