Gardaí seek occupants of car after fatal Clare hit-and-run

Gardaí are looking for the driver or occupants of a Skoda Octavia they believe may have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Clonlara, County Clare.

Sixteen-year-old Bryan Lowe was found unresponsive on the roadside at Cottage Cross on the L3050 on Friday. He had been riding a scrambler bike and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí said the vehicle was travelling in the Clonlara area of County Clare and the Castleconnell area of County Limerick between 6 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday. A second vehicle involved in the incident failed to remain at the scene.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to come forward. Road users who were in the Clonlara or Castleconnell areas and may have dashcam or other camera footage are being asked to make it available. Information can be provided to Henry Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line, or any Garda station. Investigations are ongoing.
