Garnacho joins Villa on loan from Chelsea

Aston Villa has secured the loan of Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho, with the deal set to become permanent at the end of the 2026-27 season. The Argentine international, who signed a four-year contract, will join Villa Park under terms that obligate the club to a purchase if specific criteria are met, reportedly around £43 million. Chelsea views these conditions as easily achievable.

Garnacho's departure from Stamford Bridge comes shortly after Chelsea's acquisition of Morgan Rogers for a club-record £117 million. The 22-year-old winger has had a limited impact at Chelsea, scoring just one Premier League goal since his £40 million transfer from Manchester United last September. With the arrivals of Rogers and Geovany Quenda, Chelsea aims to reduce squad size.

Villa head coach Unai Emery expressed delight at Garnacho's arrival, highlighting his talent, youth, and desire to contribute to the project.
