Gas Prices Down $0.25, Diesel Down $0.25

Motorists in Jamaica can expect some relief at the pump starting Thursday, August 6, as prices for gasoline and diesel are set to decrease. The reduction, amounting to $0.25 per liter across various fuel types, comes as a result of the latest ex-refinery costs from Petrojam.

Specifically, 90-octane gasoline will be available for $213.47 per liter, while 87-octane will be priced at $204.62 per liter. The decrease also applies to diesel fuels, with automotive diesel dropping to $229.25 per liter and ultra-low sulfur diesel to $249.33 per liter.

While gasoline and diesel prices are falling, the costs for propane liquid petroleum will remain unchanged at $76.40 per liter. However, butane liquid petroleum will see a significant decrease of $1.26, bringing its price to $85.92 per liter.

These updated prices reflect the ex-refinery costs. Marketing companies and retailers are expected to add their own markups to these figures before the fuel reaches consumers.
