Gas station attendant robbed in San Pedro del Paraná

A 22-year-old gas station attendant was robbed by two masked men on a motorcycle in San Pedro del Paraná, Paraguay, on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred around 5:10 PM at a Petrobras station on Route D049.

The victim, identified as Diego Armando Bogado Pereira, was reportedly working as a "playero" (attendant) when the assailants, one armed with a firearm, approached him. They made off with an estimated G. 6 to 7 million (approximately $800-$950 USD) from the day's earnings and the attendant's black iPhone 11.

Agents from Comisaría 53ª intervened and called in forensic and investigative teams. Preliminary reports suggest the motorcycle used by the robbers was a black trail-type model without a license plate. Investigators are considering a connection to a similar robbery that occurred on July 10 at a Petropar gas station located about 27 km away in the same district. The prosecutor in charge of the case is Rolando Ortega.
