Gaziantep Debt Dispute Leads to Deadly Shootout: 2 Dead, 5 Injured

A violent clash erupted in Gaziantep, Turkey, stemming from a dispute over a debt between two groups. The confrontation, which involved firearms, resulted in the deaths of two people and left five others injured. The incident occurred near the Bostancık neighborhood in the Şahinbey district.

Reports indicate that an argument between the rival groups escalated rapidly into a physical fight. The situation turned deadly when weapons were used. One person died at the scene, while another, identified as Yasin Ö., 33, passed away after being transported to the hospital.

The five injured individuals, including Hüseyin Ö., 18, Murat Ö., 46, Mustafa Ö., Mehmet Ö., and one unidentified person, were treated by emergency medical teams. They were subsequently taken to Gaziantep Şehir Hastanesi, Abdülkadir Yüksel Devlet Hastanesi, and Şehitkamil Devlet Hastanesi for further medical care.

Following the incident, gendarmerie forces secured the area and initiated a comprehensive investigation into the events. The bodies of the deceased were transferred to the Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy.
