GCC Condemns Iranian Attacks as War Crimes, Demands International Accountability

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has declared that Iran's recent attacks targeting infrastructure and civilian sites in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan constitute war crimes. The council is calling for immediate international accountability for these actions.

GCC Secretary-General Jassim Albudaiwi strongly denounced the strikes, describing them as "treacherous attacks." He highlighted that the targeting of civilian facilities and infrastructure, which resulted in injuries to civilian workers in Kuwait, represents a severe escalation and a blatant breach of international law and the UN Charter. Albudaiwi emphasized that these acts undermine regional security and stability.

The GCC affirmed its unwavering support for Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, backing any measures they undertake to protect their sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security. The council also extended well wishes for a swift recovery to those injured in Kuwait.

Similarly, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) issued a strong condemnation of the Iranian attacks. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the missile and drone strikes flagrantly violate the sovereignty of the three nations, posing a significant threat to their security and stability. The UAE reiterated its full solidarity with Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan and pledged support for their efforts to maintain stability.
