GED students preference modification period to begin 21 July

Oman's Ministry of Education has opened the preference modification period for students pursuing their General Education Diploma, offering them a crucial window to adjust their academic choices for the 2025/2026 academic year. This electronic process, managed through the Higher Education Admission Centre, will run from July 21 to August 1, allowing students to refine their selections.

The Ministry confirmed the readiness of 47 technical support centers across various educational directorates in the governorates to provide technical support services, as well as professional and academic counseling to students and their parents during this crucial phase.

To support students and their parents through this significant phase, the Ministry has established 47 technical support centers across various educational directorates. These centers, along with an additional 48 located at the Career Guidance and Student Counseling Centre, will provide essential technical assistance and professional academic counseling. The goal is to help students navigate registration inquiries and make well-considered decisions about their future academic paths.

This period is designed as an opportunity for students to reassess their academic programs based on their final results, inclinations, abilities, and future aspirations. By rearranging their choices, students can better align their selections with the educational opportunities available at higher education institutions, ultimately contributing to more informed future academic and professional decisions.
