Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has confirmed that the statue of General Sudirman in Dukuh Atas will remain in its current location. This decision comes as the area undergoes development into a transit-oriented zone (TOD), including the construction of a new pedestrian deck.

Anung stated that the decision to keep the statue in place was made after careful consideration of the project's detailed design. He emphasized that the statue, an icon of Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, will continue to be an integral part of the new Dukuh Atas landscape. According to the design, the statue will be situated near the center of the pedestrian deck, eliminating the need for relocation. Tuhiyat, the President Director of PT MRT Jakarta, corroborated the governor's statement, assuring that the statue's location is secure. The pedestrian deck's design even includes a special viewing area to allow visitors to admire the statue from above. This confirmation resolves earlier discussions about potentially relocating the statue to a more prominent position as part of the TOD development.
