Renowned German composer Ralph Siegel, 80, is currently in an artificial coma in a Munich clinic as he battles severe pneumonia. His daughter, Giulia Siegel, shared an update on Instagram, assuring followers that their father is stable and can breathe on his own. "The entire family is together and fully focused on our father. He is currently in an artificial coma, but can already breathe independently. We look forward to the coming days with confidence," she wrote.

The news confirms earlier reports from the German newspaper "TZ," which detailed Siegel's critical health situation. He was admitted to the hospital several days ago after falling ill with a serious lung infection. His fourth wife, Laura, reportedly rushed back from Spain, where the couple has resided for years. Siegel had recently taken over a restaurant near Barcelona in March.

Siegel boasts a long and prolific career, marked by both immense success and personal challenges. He has written over 2,000 songs, including well-known hits like "Fiesta Mexicana," "Griechischer Wein," and "Moskau." His most significant international success came in 1982 when 17-year-old Nicole won the Eurovision Song Contest with his composition "Ein bisschen Frieden."
