German influencer Laura Viktoria Härtig dies after collision with former skier Peter Runggaldier

German outdoor influencer and mountain guide Laura Viktoria Härtig has reportedly died at the age of 30 following a severe cycling accident in the Dolomites. The incident occurred on June 23 on a mountain pass road near the Sellajoch.

Reports indicate that Härtig, who was cycling uphill, collided head-on with a motorcycle traveling downhill. She sustained critical injuries and passed away on Monday. The motorcyclist involved in the collision was identified as Peter Runggaldier, a former Italian skier who won World Championship silver in downhill in 1991 and the Super-G World Cup title in 1995.

Runggaldier also sustained injuries in the accident, including several broken bones, though his life was reportedly not in danger. Police in Trento are investigating the circumstances of the crash, but initial reports suggest no evidence of alcohol influence or excessive speed.

Runggaldier has released a statement on Instagram expressing his thoughts are with all those affected and their families, requesting understanding as he refrains from giving interviews at this time.
