Getafe brings back their goalscorer Enes Ünal

Spanish football club Getafe has announced the return of Turkish striker Enes Ünal, signing him on a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2029. Ünal is a familiar face at Getafe, having previously worn the club's colors for three and a half seasons.

During his prior stint with the Madrid-based team, Ünal proved to be a prolific goalscorer, netting a total of 36 goals in La Liga. He initially joined Getafe from Villarreal and, despite a loan spell at Valladolid, established himself as a key offensive player for the club between 2020 and early 2024. His goal tally places him sixth among Getafe's all-time La Liga scorers.

Ünal's return is seen as a significant boost for Getafe, particularly as the team manages the long-term injury of offensive midfielder Christantus Uche. Uche suffered a severe knee injury during a preseason friendly. Ünal's experience and proven goal-scoring ability are expected to fill the void left by Uche's absence and strengthen Getafe's attacking options for the upcoming seasons.
