GFM secures additional RM83.1 million contracts at PIC, Johor

GFM Services Berhad, a provider of Integrated Facility Management (IFM) services, has significantly bolstered its order book with additional contracts valued at RM83.1 million for maintenance work at the Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) in Johor. This latest award underscores the company's growing role in supporting Malaysia's vital oil and gas sector.

The new work orders were secured by GFM's wholly-owned subsidiary, Highbase Strategic Sdn Bhd, which received RM16.3 million from Petronas Chemicals Isononanol Sdn. Bhd. (PCINA). Additionally, its 60%-indirectly owned subsidiary, Shapadu CR Asia Sdn. Bhd. (SCRA), secured RM66.8 million from Pengerang Refining Company Sdn. Bhd. (PRC). These contracts fall under the group's existing Integrated Turnaround Main Mechanical and Maintenance Mechanical Static (TA4MS) contract, with work scheduled to commence in 2027.

Ruslan Nordin, GFM's Group Managing Director, highlighted that these new contracts are a testament to the group's deep expertise and complementary capabilities within its workforce. He emphasized that the awards further solidify GFM's position as a trusted service provider in Malaysia's downstream oil and gas industry. GFM is committed to close collaboration with project owners and stakeholders to ensure the awarded work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all technical and operational standards.

With these recent additions, GFM's total secured work packages for the upcoming major maintenance cycle at PIC now amount to RM231.3 million. This figure includes the RM148.2 million in work orders announced on July 10, 2026. PIC, which began operations in 2019, is preparing for its first major maintenance cycle. This extensive process involves comprehensive maintenance, inspections, and component replacements across the integrated downstream complex to ensure continued reliability, safety, and efficiency of operations.
