Ghana Chamber of Mines commends gov’t for resolving Adamus Resources Limited dispute

The Ghana Chamber of Mines has praised the government for successfully resolving the dispute surrounding Adamus Resources Limited. The Chamber views the agreement as a significant step toward revitalizing the mine and safeguarding employment.

A 12-month roadmap will guide the turnaround of the mine's operations, with a six-member joint management team providing support. The Chamber highlighted this collaborative approach as evidence of a commitment to dialogue, investor confidence, and the preservation of productive mining assets.

Reviving Adamus Resources Limited is particularly important as it is one of Ghana's few large-scale indigenous mining operations. Its successful return to sustainable operations is expected to protect jobs, benefit businesses in host communities, and maintain the mine's contributions to government revenue and the broader mining sector.

The Chamber also extended its gratitude to the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Mr. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, and the Minerals Commission leadership for their efforts. Adamus Resources Limited was also acknowledged for its constructive engagement in resolving the dispute. The Chamber urged all parties to adhere to the agreed roadmap, emphasizing transparency and accountability throughout the implementation process.
