Giant Dinosaurs Roam Magong: 'Dinosaur Night Walk' Delights Families

Magong City, Taiwan, is hosting its "Magong Summer Fun Fest," a vibrant event that this year introduces an immersive "Dinosaur Night Walk" for families. The attraction brings together the "Que Sabe Dance Company" with impressive dinosaur replicas, including a 6.5-meter Allosaurus named "Pumpkin" and a 5-meter mutated Ceratosaurus called "Spicy." This close-up exhibition aims to transport attendees, both children and adults, into a Jurassic world, kicking off the summer's family activities with excitement.

The opening ceremony, energized by the "Que Sabe Dance Company," was officially inaugurated by Magong Mayor Huang Chien-chung and other guests, marking the start of the third annual "Magong Summer Fun Fest." The event also recognized sponsors, including FamilyMart and Taiwan Power Company's 25th Branch, for their support of local family activities. The appearance of the large dinosaur models created a peak moment, eliciting cheers from children and drawing crowds of parents eager to capture photos, filling the venue with a joyful atmosphere.

Mayor Huang highlighted that the Fun Fest, now in its third year, has become a signature summer event for Magong. He emphasized the continuous effort to enhance the event's quality through innovative content, integrating performing arts, interactive activities, and leisure experiences within public spaces. The goal is to spark children's imagination and courage through exploration and interaction, while encouraging parents to slow down and connect with their children, transforming the city into a stage for accumulating cherished family memories.

The "Magong Summer Fun Fest" runs until August 16th, with the park closed on Tuesdays. It is open daily from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The venue features Jurassic-themed amusement facilities and a family market. Limited ice pops, food vouchers, and "White Rotten Cat" themed stickers are distributed daily at 6:30 PM. Special "White Rotten Cat" and "Magong Flying Fish" fans are given away during the opening and closing ceremonies. Weekend evenings are filled with performances including music, dance, and magic shows.
