The Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA) has initiated a significant five-day Regional Investment Roadshow across the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions. This exercise is a key component of the Authority's Investment Opportunity Mapping Project (IOMP), designed to cultivate a portfolio of investment-ready projects and draw both domestic and foreign capital into these areas.

The roadshow includes engagements in Sunyani, Techiman, and Goaso. GIPA and its partners will collaborate with local government bodies, traditional leadership, business associations, and local enterprises. The goal is to pinpoint, verify, and package projects that align with the economic strengths of each region. The itinerary also features courtesy calls on Regional Ministers and Houses of Chiefs, stakeholder discussions, site visits, and business-to-business matchmaking.

This initiative builds upon the success of similar roadshows conducted in the Volta, Oti, Western, Central, and Ashanti regions. The current focus is on opportunities within agribusiness, agro-processing, logistics, eco-tourism, mining value addition, and rural industrialization. Between July 2025 and June 2026, GIPA's IOMP identified 378 investment projects across 188 districts, with the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions contributing 99 projects. These three regions have collectively attracted 57 registered companies and approximately $383.65 million in foreign direct investment since January 1994.
